Recycling batteries— It’s as riveting as it sounds.

Raise your hand if you thought it was illegal to throw out batteries but did it anyway!

Well, it turns out it is only illegal in California (sorry CA). But do not fear because it is way easier than I thought to recycle them. Below are 3 ways.

• www.call2recycle.org/locator/- Use this handy dandy locator and drop them off in the flesh.

• www.biggreenbox.com- A mail in service that is a bit pricey (smallest box is $35) but you can throw in electronics as well and shipping is included in the cost. 

• Most cities/towns have hazardous waste days where you can drop your batteries off, check your town’s website.
